Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is committed to offering all guests a comfortable and enjoyable environment. Following careful evaluation of guest feedback, smoking is no longer permitted in guest rooms and suites, outdoor restaurants or other public areas.

Comfortable smoking areas are situated on both sides of the river. In some accommodation smoking is allowed on the outdoor balconies. Should you smoke in your room, a pre-departure cleaning fee will be charged.

Dress Code Policy:

Guests are respectfully requested to refrain from wearing shorts and sandals in the lobby, other public areas and restaurants. To maintain a sophisticated atmosphere, we kindly request that after 6:30 pm, female guests wear elegant attire and proper footwear, while gentlemen wear elegant attire, long trousers, and closed shoes. Sleeveless shirts for gentlemen are not permitted at any time of the day.

Hotel restaurants have a smart casual dress code and gentlemen are required to wear a jacket at Le Normandie by Alain Roux in the evenings. Shorts are not permitted at any time in Le Normandie by Alain Roux and The Authors' Lounge.

Guests are requested to wear the bathrobe supplied in their rooms, when going to the swimming pool, or to use the poolside changing facilities.
